Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
During pregnancy, Reiki Healing can help you in many ways. Firstly, it can deeply relax your body and mind. Secondly, it can support the healing process of your body, while helping you shift old patterns, habits, and belief systems that no longer serve you. Thirdly, it can improve physical pain and discomfort, and support your connection with your baby. Moreover, it can relieve common pregnancy symptoms such as morning sickness, fatigue, and discomfort, and prepare your body for the birth of your baby.
During labour, it can provide pain relief, and help you stay in the moment. It can offer physical and emotional support if there is a need for medical intervention. It can also promote calmness and reduce fear and anxiety. Additionally, it can induce labour by releasing fear or other blockages.
After giving birth, Reiki Healing can be beneficial for your physical and emotional healing. It can help relieve pain, including tear healing and C-section scar healing. It can also support your body's recovery from the birth, and your baby's transition to extra-uterine life. Moreover, it can improve your baby's vital signs, release tensions, including due to emotional blockages, promote sleep, improve breastfeeding, and alleviate common ailments such as colic, teething, constipation, and gassiness.
Reiki, also known as Universal Life Force Energy, is a form of healing that aims to restore balance in the body, mind, and spirit. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, our body's energy is referred to as Qi or Chi, which generates electricity. The nervous system uses electric signals to communicate among other messengers. The heart has an electrical system, and its pumping action is regulated by an electrical conduction system that coordinates the contraction of the different chambers of the heart. Additionally, electricity is also generated inside and outside the cells of our body, which generates a magnetic field called the biomagnetic field.
It is believed that illness often begins outside of the body, within the biomagnetic field. If the biomagnetic field is unbalanced, it can lead to symptoms in the body. Negative experiences, as well as microbes, can cause an imbalance in this field. Mental health disorders can also manifest in the body.
Each body organ has its vibration, and a Reiki Practitioner has been attuned to Reiki healing. Their hands have their vibration. Out of all the organs, the heart has the highest vibration. If an organ is not vibrating within its healthy range due to an imbalance, the Reiki Practitioner can pick up on those vibrations and send healing energy to the body to readjust, rebalance, and heal itself.
While Reiki Healing has its limitations and cannot fully cure diseases, it can improve how the body deals with the disease and encourage healing. Reiki Healing is not a substitute for medicine but rather works alongside it to support the body and mind in promoting healing. It is well-known how stress affects the body, and simply relaxing the mind can have a significant impact on recovering from illnesses. By regulating and attuning to your own body and energy, you can notice the subtlest changes. Listening to your body's whispers can help you avoid hearing it scream.
Reiki Healing is often used in cancer treatment along with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Although these treatments are necessary, they can cause adverse side effects, stress, and anxiety. By regulating and attuning the body to the right frequency (vibration), it can cope better with these side effects.
