Hi!
I’m Joey (they/them), a full spectrum doula offering compassionate, personalised, and affirming support at every stage of the reproductive journey.
Birth work has always held a special place in my heart, I come from a lineage of birth workers, and it’s always felt like something quietly stitched into my being.
After years working as a nanny then a handpoke tattoo artist,I finally listened to the call and stepped into doula work.
It is a privilege to walk alongside people during such tender, transformative moments. My practice is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves full autonomy, informed choice, and respectful care, especially those pushed to the margins no one deserves.
Everyone's personal history and preferences are different. I approach each client as an individual, working collaboratively to make a transitional time as gentle as possible, even when it's tough.
Every person deserves nothing but full autonomy and access to informed choices, I offer evidence-based information, as well as drawing from my education and experience to give tailored support both emotionally and physically.
I proudly welcome all birthing people, and am especially passionate about supporting those who identify as LGBTQIA+, Disabled, and/or Neurodivergent. If that’s you, you’re warmly welcomed here.
I’m based in Hackney, where I’ve spent most of my life.
When I’m not deep-diving into internet rabbit holes or inhaling pregnancy and birth-related knowledge, you’ll find me curled up watching TV, tending to my plants and my beloved cat children, or snacking on cheese (a core part of my identity, really).
I look forward to meeting you and your family!
Joey
