Hi!
My name is Yvonne, and I’m a proactive, energetic individual who absolutely loves meeting and supporting families.
I currently work as a Senior Midwifeat Croydon University Hospital, where I’m part of a Continuity of Care (Case-Loading) Team.
Over the years, I’ve held various midwifery roles, including case loading for teenage mothers, working in birth centres and community midwifery settings.
I’ve also worked at the Princess Royal University Hospital and The Portland Hospital for Women and Children, and have previously supported families privately as a night nanny.
My career has taken me beyond the UK — I spent 7 years working as a midwife in Guernsey, Abu Dhabi, and Qatar, gaining invaluable experience with diverse families and healthcare systems.
I graduated from King’s College London 20 years ago as a Registered Midwife and have continued to build on my education with the following qualifications:
MSc and Postgraduate Certificate in Child Protection(Greenwich University)
Newborn & Infant Physical Examination (NIPE)
Practice Mentorship (Sign-Off Mentor)
Women & Mental Health(St George’s University)
I’m also passionate about breastfeeding support. I’m an active breastfeeding counsellor and a proud member of:
La Leche League
Lactation Consultants of Great Britain (LCGB)
The Association of Breastfeeding Mothers
Outside of midwifery, I love running (I completed the New York Marathon for Leukaemia Research and the Great South Run for Action on Pre-Eclampsia!) — though I now cycle more than I run these days.
I’m a proud mum of four — Romaine, Stephen, Tamasyn, and Joshua— and grandma to two beautiful granddaughters, Romina and Riley.
My goal is always to provide first-class, holistic care, tailored to each family’s needs. I’m here to support you in caring for your baby, and to give you the time, tools, and encouragement you need to feel confident and empowered.
I look forward to meeting you and your little bundle of joy very soon!
Warmest regards,
Yvonne
